My Story

  • The leap landed me exciting opportunities. Unexpectedly, it also landed me in spaces of impact and community building that fostered real connection - a key ingredient to sparking positive change.

Storytelling also took me on a surprise journey of self-discovery and transformation. I felt empowered by it. In fact, my experience got me so curious about how telling our stories impacts us that it’s now a mild obsession!

  • I tell—and teach—honest, human stories that sit at the intersection of identity, belonging, and lived experience.

My work invites people to speak the truths they’ve been holding, to listen with curiosity, and to recognize the threads that connect us. Whether on stage, in a workshop, or one-to-one, I use personal narrative to spark understanding and create spaces where every voice feels possible.

  • Sassy La V is my stage name — a wink to “Ça, c’est la vie.” A reminder that life is a mosaic of interconnected stories and sometimes the best way to honour them is to tell them out loud.

Part existential crisis and part leap of faith, I started storytelling and stand-up comedy as hobbies. It turned into a path toward connection, community, and change.
